NASA commercial space partner Orbital Sciences Corp. of Dulles, Va., launched its Cygnus cargo spacecraft aboard its Antares rocket at 10:58 a.m. EDT Wednesday from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport Pad-0A at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.


Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 news briefing at Johnson Space Center focused on the upcoming Antares rocket launch from Wallops -- and test flight to the International Space Station of Orbital's Cygnus cargo craft. Launch is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17. The flight is part of NASA' Commercial Orbital Transportation Services Program to develop private and public partnerships for resupply of the ISS.
